As it’s Halloween, I quickly prepped and painted something thematic to drop into the family D&D game:
He was originally a Dreamblade mini, but a suit of armour with a pumpkin on top feels like something I can shoehorn into D&D. Even if his evil flaming sword didn’t come out quite how I’d hoped…
He’s a large creature, as that’s a 40mm base he’s on, so will probably be a mini boss of some sort rather than a minion. Having a quick google, there’s a statblock that someone made for this specific miniature that looks like it would be a good starting point!
Unfortunately, we played D&D earlier this week, but the party (with a guest member, as our daughter had a friend over who wanted to stay for D&D) ended up in a multi wave boss fight before finding this monster, and I figured it was probably time to stop for pizza rather than pushing on into hour five of the game so our Halloween encounter will have to be delayed until next week. I think when they kill it candy is going to come out, potentially wild magic infused candy…
Painting him brings the Tally to:
64 vs 312 = -248
What’s next? I should probably focus up and carry on painting the last few bits I need for Warriors of Athena, but why focus when you can hyperfocus, and on that note I’ve converted the last mini I need for a starting Black Death City warband…
